The message of the British prime minister was read by the deputy head of the British diplomatic mission in Baku, Philip Barclay.

SOCAR puts up mid-term government bonds for auction

An auction for the placement of state medium-term bonds of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan in the amount of $100 million with a circulation period of five years was held on the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE).

According to the BSE, during the auction, 754 investors submitted 761 bids.

The annual interest rate for the bonds will be 4.5 percent, and payments on it to investors will be made every three months.

Azerbaijan and the World Bank ink a new loan agreement

The Azerbaijani government and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) which is a member of the World Bank (WB) group, signed a loan agreement worth $65 million on October 27, Trend reports citing the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry.

The document was signed by the Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov and WB Regional Manager for Azerbaijan Sarah Michael.

Iran, Turkmenistan agree to double rail transit

Iran’s Roads and Urban Development Minister Rostam Qassemi said that Iran and Turkmenistan have reached agreements on several areas, including doubling rail transit.

Speaking in the opening session of the 16th Iran-Turkmenistan joint commission on economic cooperation on Tuesday, Qassemi said that the two countries had a multi-billion-dollar trade, but the coronavirus pandemic imposed some limitations.
